Summary:

Hardi Aged Care is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Recreational Activities Officer/Leisure and Lifestyle Officer to join our team in Penrith, New South Wales. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging activities that promote the psychological, social, and physical wellbeing of our residents. If you have excellent communication and organization skills, experience in customer-facing roles, and a commitment to making a positive impact, we would love to hear from you.

Job Details:

• Develop and implement specialized activity programs and social activities for our residents.
• Create monthly calendars and schedules of activities.
• Support the Facility Management Team and provide assistance to residents in their absence.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Experience in customer-facing environments, such as Aged Care, Retirement Villages, Tourism, Events, Receptionist/Admin, or Hospitality.
• Creative thinking and the ability to take initiative.
• Compassionate nature and a commitment to improving the lives of others.
• Ability to engage with residents and staff effectively.
• Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure (desirable).
• Previous experience in aged care is an advantage.
• Computer literate and proficient in documentation and reports.
• Empathy for the elderly and disabled.
• Proof of Covid-19 immunization required.
