Summary
Equifax, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to provide advice and assistance to our data, analytics, and technology business in Australia. In this hands-on role, you will work closely with business stakeholders across multiple units, primarily focusing on our HR Solutions business. Your responsibilities will include drafting and negotiating complex contracts, offering legal and risk management advice, and navigating the complex regulatory landscape.

- Draft and negotiate complex customer and supplier contracts
- Provide legal and risk management advice on various legal issues impacting the business, particularly in privacy, data, and consumer law
- Assist the business in navigating the evolving regulatory landscape
- Participate in business and technology transformation projects
Requirements
- Hold a current practicing certificate and have an undergraduate law degree
- 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience as a commercial lawyer
- Proficient in privacy and data law
- Strong commercial contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills
- Preferred experience in a reputable law firm
- Ability to explain legal concepts in a commercial context
- Demonstrated track record of providing concise, solutions-based legal advice
- Commercially astute and customer-focused with good practical business judgement
