Summary:

Performance Foodservice is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician A to join our team in Little Rock, AR. As a Diesel Technician, you will play a vital role in keeping our associates safe by repairing, maintaining, and overhauling our fleet diesel equipment. Details:

  • Competitive pay rate of $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience
  • Full-time position working Sunday to Thursday from 5:00pm to 2:00am

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, and maintenance vehicles
  • Complete overhauls and rebuilds of heavy-duty diesel engines and transmissions
  • Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment
  • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts
  • Ensure equipment has the required licensing and registration
  • Complete thorough documentation for work orders
  • Train and provide guidance to other Mechanics

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED or State Approved Equivalent
  • 5 - 7 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in refrigeration and/or overhauling and rebuilding heavy-duty diesel engines and transmissions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates/2-Year Technical Degree
  • 7 - 10 years of proven experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair
  • Preferred certifications in tire & wheel, brakes, AC and/or EPA, engine rebuild, DOT inspections, transmissions, engines, ASE Heavy Duty
