🎯

What you'll do

  • Build professional and long-term relationships with suppliers based on trust and transparency.
  • Challenge suppliers to improve performance according to action plans.
  • Lead supplier development projects to implement action plans aligned with the Category Business Plan.
  • Analyze data to draw conclusions and drive actions.
  • Lower total costs at the supplier level by optimizing the value chain.
  • Partner with suppliers to enhance competitiveness through new technologies and materials.
  • Engage necessary competencies such as logistics, quality, and sustainability in business agendas.
  • Ensure compliance with IKEA Purchasing Manual and other agreed methods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Textile Technology, or Textile Engineering, or relevant experience.
  • 10 to 15 years of sourcing/supply chain experience, preferably in the Textile Industry (Home Textiles or Garments).
  • Purchasing experience with Total Cost and Value Chain Analysis.
  • Hands-on experience in supplier development and vendor management.
  • Experience in contract negotiations and ability to run complex RFQ/RFP/RFI.
  • Proven track record in product price negotiations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills adaptable to different audiences.
  • Proven ability to develop business plans and meet/exceed results.
  • In-depth analysis skills and ability to build trustful relations with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Indirect leadership skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Energy, drive, and commitment to deliver better products.
