This is a recruitment pool for Casual appointments. An exciting opportunity is available for an enthusiastic and passionate Patient Care Assistant to join the team at Carnarvon Health Campus or Gnullingoo Mia Aged Care in Carnarvon, Western Australia. Carnarvon offers a unique coastal oasis with access to World Heritage-listed Ningaloo Reef and Mount Augustus. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will provide personal care to clients, assist with support services, and be responsible for cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation as per hospital policies. The role requires a compassionate approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care under the direction of a registered nurse
  • Assist with various support services
  • Handle cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation duties

Requirements

  • Interest in assisting patients with dignity and respect
  • Basic understanding of hygiene, food handling, and cleaning standards in a hospital
  • Familiarity with patient handling techniques
  • Strong team player with good communication skills
  • Possession of a valid driver's licence
