Holcim, a reputable company in the construction industry, is currently looking for experienced and reliable Agitator Drivers to join their team in Perth Metro, WA on a casual contract basis. As an Agitator Driver, you will have a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient mixing, inspection, and delivery of premixed concrete, while upholding the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate an agitator truck to deliver premixed concrete to specified locations.
- Conduct thorough inspections of the concrete mixer to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Adhere to all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations to maintain a secure working environment.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and work instructions, including following drivers' instructions.
- Assist in regular maintenance tasks as directed by the production supervisor, including completing the Daily Operator Checklist and ensuring truck cleanliness.
- Conduct routine inspections of the concrete to ensure it meets specified requirements.
- Monitor and maintain the slump of each load within specified tolerance limits.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as an agitator driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong commitment to safety and a good understanding of safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to perform routine checks.
- Physical fitness to handle the job demands, including lifting heavy objects.
- Flexibility to work variable hours, including weekends and overtime as necessary.
